Chesarab Kennels was started in 1957. Richard and Sheila DiVaccaro started with Chesapeake Bay Retrievers that were good looking, good working dogs that shared their home. In the years since, we have kept that image in mind when breeding our dogs.

Chesarab Chesapeakes are known to be excellent family dogs, gun dogs, and show dogs. We have produced Best-in-Show, Best-in-Specialty, Best-of-Opposite Sex in Specialty and High in Trial dogs. Our dogs have Show championships, Obedience titles, Hunt Test titles and earned qualified All Age in field trials. We feel our lines are truly versatile.

Puppies and Stud Dogs Puppies are usually available. Our dogs are x-rayed for soundness and eyes are checked for health problems. Prices start at $1000. We try to put the right puppy to the right people.
